2/27/2023 0 Comments Two worlds gamesThe game sold 3M copies total making it one of the more popular games of 2011. They were riddled with bugs that made them almost unplayable. The Xbox 360/PS3 releases of this game once again did not work. The release of Two Worlds 2 was just as bad as the original. Two Worlds 2 was made possible by its European popularity. Many people looked at Two Worlds as just another Elder Scrolls game, a sand box world with free roam side quests. The game was however quite the success in Europe as the gritty real adventures appealed heavily to a more mature audience in Germany. The Xbox 360 release didn’t work and the PC release had such high computer spec requirements (even on lowest settings) that people didn’t buy it. It would be available for the Xbox 360 and the PC. Two Worlds was also set to jump into a multi-platform release. On the cover of Two Worlds is a picture of a scantily clad woman. This Polish developed RPG would feature realism, nudity and foul language… all of the sort of things that attract a young mind. I felt with such high computer requirements this game would be the one I could finally come back to.īut now, on to my review. I had to upgrade my power supply to 750W. At first I could not play it because it was wiping out my computer. I chose this game from a list of games on the Black Friday Steam Sales list and was interested in this game. I mean some of them (like Fallout) are but a lot of them that require precision shooting are not. I don’t count first person shooter RPGs as really RPGs. So this is realistically my first RPG in quite some time. I will say that I did play Mario and Luigi Battle in Time for the Nintendo DS… but that’s hardly a RPG… just something I did at my lame job to pass time. It was just a pretty terrible game and it was obvious to me that RPGs much like RTSes were falling behind the time. I played through that game twice and it just never got any better. The first 2 hours of the bloody game is just video.įable was sort of the last straw for me. I fell apart from the group adventurers RPG pretty much as soon as Final Fantasy 10 came out, that game sucked ass. Some of my favorites are still those dungeon RPGs that focus around you first person running through dungeons and building yourself up. It’s not that I don’t like RPGs it’s just that I never had time for RPGs in my life. How long? Well, the last non-MMO RPG I played was probably Fable. It’s not so much a double-edged sword as it is simply a fork with a rusty handle.I can honestly say it has been a long time since I played a fantasy RPG. It’s a conundrum that you understand the people who played the game in its prime will play the title with a healthy dose of nostalgia driving them forward – however newer players will find themselves alienated because of this same framework. Spells and magic are fairly devastating when they are used – but long cooldowns really do dampen one’s excitement in using them. I am not being obtuse here, the act of kicking enemies was so inconsistent that in the end I am still mystified if the stumbling mechanic is actually intended. Leaving combat stance allows you to do a short-ranged kick, that may or may not stumble your opponents. It’s odd to play a game that makes use of a defined ‘combat stance’ that prevents you from using abilities in the year of our lord 2017, particularly when a healthy amount of your offensive actions are mostly clickspamming attacks – attacks that are also inaccessible when not in ‘combat stance’. The game’s fundamental gameplay elements are at times not offensively bad, just bland enough that you desperately wish for something more modern.
